Contents Of Your Credit Report

When it comes to credit reports, some people are not really inclined to even review them on their own. This is quite important since this report will be referred to by a lot of different entities. This is going to say a lot about you too. To start off, here are the contents of your credit report:
Your Basic Details
This will of course contain your name as well as your social security number. This will also include your birth date. This is just enough to actually identify that the record you are holding is yours. Any corrections that have to be made on your records should be made with the reporting agency. It would help if you can check with the other reporting agencies to see if they have the same mistakes as the first one in case there’s any.
Background check - credit report

Check more about background checking source for DMV:
Accounts
These are the current and closed accounts that have been tagged under your socials. These are all the ones that you have taken into for the last 7 years. Even if the accounts have been closed due to non payment or if you have just closed it without any hitches you will still see this on your record. This is also the essence of the whole report. The items that are found under your accounts will determine how good or bad your credit score is going to be. Here are also the details that can be found on each account item:
  • Account number(s)
  • Date of last activity
  • Amount owed (if there’s any)
  • Payment history
Employment History
This record may differ and not necessarily be present on each report. This is quite useful for some potential employers who would want to get a good idea of your previous employment.
Residence
This is going to include both your previous and current residences.
Inquiries
These are the inquiries made for your credit report by other companies. This is usually made by financial institutions when you are applying for a loan. You might want to know that these inquiries are not very good for your credit score. The more inquiries that is made on your account the lower your credit score can get.

You should be able to get a free credit report every year. This way you can get an idea of where you stand. On the other hand if you want the complete record, you can go ahead and request for the other 2 but it is going to cost you.

Deal with your DUI properly

A DUI is a serious charge that you cannot just ignore. This could immediately result to having your driver’s license suspended. You may not realize it yet but you would have to make sure that you are able to keep it in order for you to make sure that you are able to make use of your car legally anywhere. However there are times when this is a reality for a number of individuals. In the case you actually find yourself in such situation, here are some things you can do to minimize the repercussions:

Consider lawyers

A lot of people would avoid talking to a lawyer as much as possible. I would have to say I understand it because involving a lawyer would usually mean that things just got serious. On the other hand, at this point, talking to a lawyer does not really mean that things got serious. It just means that you are looking into the dynamics of your offense. It means that you are able to have your case explained to you in detail.

Go for AA

AA is too much of a cliché for a lot of people. They are even quite embarrassed by the idea that they are in a group for alcoholics. This time around, do think about changing the way you look at this group. One thing that makes you resist such group is because you think that you do not deserve to be there. Here’s the simple reality, you got caught with DUI. The fact that you actually had a couple of drinks that is considered as an unacceptable level and still decided to get behind the wheel earns you a well deserved ticket to the group. This would help you understand further the repercussion of drinking from people who had the problem which is more serious that you had it. This could then change your mind later on in going for a drink and driving afterwards.

Do your time

Some people would still try to go about fighting the charge. If you ask me this is quite futile. It is going to be a losing battle. This will also prolong the suspension of your license in case you happen to have yours suspended. What you ought to be doing is to complete all the things that are expected of you mandated by the court. Don’t worry about the points because your state may actually allow you to take some classes to get those points removed or reduced. I would have to call this learning the hard way.
